Pets First. Humans, a Close Second.
At the heart of everything I do is one simple belief: pets come first. Every pet deserves understanding, care, and a life filled with comfort and happiness—and every pet parent deserves support along the way.
I'm here to help you navigate every stage of your pet’s journey. Whether you have questions about behavior, health, training, or just need a little reassurance, you’re never alone.
I've also created a free Discord community where pet parents can connect, share experiences, and support one another. From everyday challenges to more emotional moments like saying goodbye, this is a space built on compassion, understanding, and real connection.
No matter where you are in your journey, we’re here to listen, support, and help you give your pet the best life possible.
In Honor of Toby Wan-Kenobi
This website was created in honor of my best feline friend, Toby (better known as ‘Beans’ or ‘Tubby’).
Toby was found in Texas as a stray and was listed on Petfinder for adoption in March of 2021. Estimated to be between 5-8 years old, we knew what we signed up for when getting an older, special needs, ex street cat. My husband and I had just moved into our first apartment and wanted a companion. We scrolled for hours until we saw this chubby polydactyl cat with the gentlest blue eyes and decided right then and there we had to have him. He was flown into Michigan, and we adopted him on March 16th, 2021.
Unfortunately, with an unknown age and a mysterious backstory, he came to us with a lot of health problems. Chronic stomach problems, UTIs, and a whole list of other issues. Through all of it, he was still an extremely loving, social boy with so much zest for life.
We got his brother, Loki, in June 2021 as company for Toby during the day while we were at work, and he absolutely loved his brother (who is now 5 in 2026). A year later, we moved from Michigan back to California, where my husband was born, and toted the cats the entire 6-hour flight.
Almost 4 years after moving back, in October 2025, Toby started showing signs of CHF(Congestive Heart Failure). It crushed our hearts to learn that not only did he have CHF, but he was so far along that he only had maybe a few weeks left in him. We ultimately decided to say goodbye exactly one week after that appointment. I promised Toby that I would continue to rescue pets like him and teach others the value of rescue and pet education because I knew that even though Toby was only with us for 5 years, we made it the best 5 years of his life. I would do it all over again if given the chance.
We love you so much, Beans.
